Aligned with our four-year nonprofit higher education institutions, the scholarship program has two models, offering financial support and enriching opportunities for Scholars.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for the Boettcher Scholarship, you must:
1. Be a graduating Colorado high school senior residing in Colorado during junior and senior years.
2. Apply during the fall of your final high school year, even if graduating early or considering a gap year.
3. Graduate from a Colorado high school.
4. Be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or lawfully present in the U.S., including DACA status.
OR
5. Meet requirements and have applied or started applying for citizenship, legal status, or lawful presence. Successful completion documentation is required.
The Boettcher Foundation prioritizes privacy, refraining from sharing student information unless legally compelled.

Selection Criteria:
The selection committee evaluates applicants based on:
1. Superior scholastic ability and intellectual curiosity.
2. Evidence of leadership and involvement.
3. Service to the community and school.
4. Outstanding character.
Merit is defined as "merit of circumstance," emphasizing lived experiences and the context in which a student has excelled in leadership. Candidates with strong potential for sustained leadership and service are highly regarded. All qualified students are encouraged to apply, irrespective of various factors.
