Cultivating Success: $1 Million Cannabis Scholarships by Educapital Foundation

Each recipient of the Cannabis Scholarship will be awarded $1,000 towards their education, generously sponsored by private donors.          Scholarship Requirements:

            To qualify, applicants must:

  • 1. Be 18 years and older.
  • 2. Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA recipient, or possess an employment authorization card.
  • 3. Demonstrate low income.
  • 4. Exhibit a high level of motivation to pursue a career in the cannabis industry.

       Basic Start-up Grant Requirements:

Applicants for the start-up grant must:

1. Maintain a “B” average or above.

2. Sustain a 70% attendance rate.

3. Fulfill any additional requirements outlined by the school.

New York Cannabis Association $250K Scholarship:

The New York Cannabis Association (NYCA) extends its support by offering a $250,000 scholarship. Recipients will receive $1,000 towards their education, and five exceptional graduates will receive a substantial $10,000 in start-up capital to launch their cannabis businesses upon graduation.

   NYCA's Commitment:

Founded in 2021, NYCA is driven by cannabis business owners and supporters dedicated to shaping New York's medical marijuana regulatory framework. Comprising around 200 cannabis businesses, NYCA collaborates with regulators and policymakers, addressing industry challenges and advocating for the evolving needs of the regulated marijuana sector in New York.

In 2013, Dr. Brenita Mitchell initiated scholarships for survivors of sexual terrorism and women living with HIV/AIDS. This evolved into the creation of Educapital under the leadership of Dr. Mitchell and Healing Waters Global Ministries. Educapital focuses on providing financial resources for trade school education, particularly for underserved and impoverished students.
