Key Information:
- Applications are open from September 4 to October 31, 2023.
- Eligible applicants should expect to receive the IRP by January 31, 2024.
- If the deadline is missed, applicants can still apply during the reopening period between January and February 2024.
Criteria for Teachers:
To qualify for the IRP, teachers must meet the following three requirements:
1. Employed by an English state secondary school with a contract starting in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.
2. Contract duration of at least one year.
3. Teaching subjects such as physics, general or combined science (with a focus on physics), or any language except English.
Examples of Eligible Teaching Jobs:
- - 50% modern foreign languages (e.g., French, Spanish) and 50% another subject (e.g., history).
- - 50% physics and 50% maths.
- - State schools, funded by the UK government, teaching children aged 11 to 16 or 11 to 18.

Date of Arrival:
Teachers must move to England no more than 3 months before the start of their job.
Non-Eligibility for Teachers:

- - Those on a dependant partner visa linked to a partner's skilled worker or student visa.
- - Teachers employed on contracts lasting less than one year or by recruitment agencies.

- 2. Ensure the school is eligible for the IRP grant.

- 4. If offered a teaching job, the school will handle reimbursement for visa, work permit, and relocation expenses.
