        Scholarship Details:

The Wageningen University Africa Scholarship program presents a distinctive opportunity for talented and motivated students from Africa to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University, contributing to capacity building in Africa. The University Fund Wageningen actively supports academic talent development, groundbreaking research, and rewards excellence in education and research at Wageningen University & Research.

         Scholarship Requirements:

To be eligible for the Wageningen University Africa Scholarship Program, applicants must:

1. Be a citizen of an African country.

2. Have applied for one of the master’s programs at Wageningen University & Research by the specified deadline.

3. Be unconditionally admitted to this MSc program.

4. Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as a top 5% student with a First-class honors degree and a GPA of 80% or higher in a Bachelor's degree.

Meeting these requirements makes you eligible for an invitation to the Africa Scholarship Programme selection procedure.

       Scholarship Duration and Reward: 

Travel to and from The Netherlands

  •  Living allowance for the 24-month program duration
  • Tuition fee coverage for the 24-month program
  • Visa costs and health insurance expenses
  • Budget for one seminar in Europe (covering travel, stay, and registration fee)

                 Required Documents:

Interested candidates should be prepared to submit the following documents:

  1. Bachelor’s degree certificate
  2. Transcript of academic records
  3. Proof of English proficiency
  4. Curriculum Vitae
  5. Personal Statement regarding prior education

          Method of Selection:

The selection procedure is by invitation only. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Apply for an MSc program before February 1st, 2024.

If you meet the requirements and have applied for an MSc program by the deadline, you could be eligible for an invitation to the Africa Scholarship Programme selection procedure.

        Step 2:Selection Procedure Steps

-Invitation to apply:In March 2024, all unconditionally admitted MSc candidates will be assessed for the Africa Scholarship Programme.

-Assignment:Selected candidates will be invited to write an assignment with a deadline of April 4, 2024.

-Online interview:A smaller selection will undergo an online interview between April 23 and May 3, 2024.

    Step 3:Result of the Selection Process

On May 13, 2024, all interviewed candidates will be notified of the results, which could be positive with a granted scholarship, positive with placement on a waiting list, or negative with no scholarship granted.
